"And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature." - Mark 16:15

"Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered". Romans 8:26

Sometimes when I pray, I just cry.  The world is a tough place.  It’s heartbreaking that so many souls are going to Hell, that there is so much evil in the world, that Satan attacks those who put up a fight in the front lines, and my own sorrow at me failing to live up to God.

The sadness of it all just makes me cry.  Sometimes crying is what I need, what others need, what everyone needs.  When I pray, sometimes I just cry, it really brings home what the scripture is saying.  There are times when I don’t know what words to use, I express myself with tears, the Spirit intercedes for us, my heart is genuine and hurting and full of anguish and asking for forgiveness and to be helped and to be stronger to help others too, along with many things.

John 16:20, "Verily, verily, I say unto you, That ye shall weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice: and ye shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy."

It is heartfelt pleading with God.  The Holy Spirit intercedes for us.

"But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble." James 4:6.

God is saying He wants us to pray so that we can receive, and He wants us to come to Him humble. When we pray we are in itself being humble, for the proud do not think they should pray.  Sometimes I pray to be humble.

And when the Joy of my Salvation is gone due to my own sinning, it is like David in Psalm 51,

Oh restore my soul and my health and my joy, so that I may live and hope to serve You more.

Rest all your cares upon Him, for His yoke is easy, and His burden is light.

"Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."
Matthew 11:28-30

Praise God the Comforter

"But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you." John 14:26

God cares more about what is within, our meekness and humble hearts.  He tells us to ‘go and pray in our closets’ for a reason (Matthew 6:6).  When you pray in front of others, it’s tempting to put on a show for others, because you are conscious of them, now, not everyone does, but it’s more likely to happen, even to varying degrees, even to those such as the Pharisees or other hypocrites, who would put on great shows of ‘meekness’ while attending the best feasts, having the best seats, the best place in town to show-pray etc

"And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly." Matthew 6:5-6
