Does God hate Homosexuals? Proverbs 6:16-19 says No

These six things doth the Lord hate:
yea, seven are an abomination unto him:
a proud look, a lying tongue,
and hands that shed innocent blood,
an heart that deviseth wicked imaginations,
feet that be swift in running to mischief,
a false witness that speaketh lies,

and he that soweth discord among brethren.
(Prov. 6:16-19)

Homosexuality is a sin (Leviticus 18:22), and it is listed with a number of sins (1 Cor. 6:9), but God does not hate the homosexual.

Declaring the Truth

God does not approve of homosexuality, and neither should we as Christians. However, we should declare this truth with love,
“But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:” Eph. 4:15.
Tempting as it might be to bash people for sins that they may have that we don't have, let's be careful we do this in the right way, and not from a self-righteous heart (Matt. 7:1-2, Luke 18:9), myself very much included.  How many of us have had a proud look?  Or a lying tongue? And so forth?  God hates these things, according to Prov 6:16-19.

So instead let's try to declare the truth in meekness, remembering that we're all lucky to have a Saviour in the Lord Jesus Christ (John 3:16).  Really we're no better than anyone.  All that separates us from the lost is that we have accepted Jesus as our only way to Heaven, because of our sin, whilst others haven't.
“But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:” 1 Peter 3:15.
