Fringe Goonball Steven Anderson Wants Everyone Dead

Steven Anderson says that people who commit adultery today should be killed,

"Yes, a righteous government would implement the death penalty for those tried and convicted of adultery
. We all know normal people who have unfortunately committed this grievous sin, and of course we wouldn’t want them to die for it. If we were to somehow vote in a law making adultery illegal, it would not be retroactive--it would be the law going forward, and adultery rates would plummet and so would divorce rates."
(Steven Anderson - Blogspot).

Yes, in the Old Testament, under Mosaic law, people were killed for adultery,
“And the man that committeth adultery with another man's wife, even he that committeth adultery with his neighbour's wife, the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death.”  Lev. 20:10
People were subject to the death penalty, during the period of Mosaic law in the Old Testament.  However, we are no longer under the law of Moses, instead, we are under the period of grace; salvation by faith alone,
“Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.” Gal. 3:24
The law was a shadow of things to come,
“For the law having a shadow of good things to come, ..” Hebrews 10:1a
We are no longer under the period of law, but we are under the age of grace (Eph. 2:8).  The law is our schoolmaster, to see we need Christ, that we cannot save ourselves.  The Jewish people failed miserably at keeping the law.

What if somehow the law of Moses still applied Today?

Let's take for instance that the law of Moses (although it does not) still applied today.  Let's take a look at what the Lord Jesus Christ said, on clarifying the sin of adultery,
“But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.” Matt. 5:28
Adultery is not just the physical act of sleeping with a married individual, but even the lusting after that person in our heart is adultery.

Tell me something, is there ever been a red blooded male, a male with a pulse, who has not at sometime, checked out a hot woman, and felt lust towards her?  Perhaps a woman at work.  Perhaps a woman walking down the street.  Maybe a woman in a film, an actress.

How do you know if any of those women are or are not married?  You DO NOT!

And if you knew, have you thought it?  Even just once?

The fact of the matter is, just about every man (and even every woman), if not every man, has committed adultery in their heart, and will likely commit it again.

So what is the solution, according to Steven Anderson?  The solution is, to kill everyone.  Great solution? Eh, no.

The solution, is that it is sinful, for all are guilty of sin (1 John 1:8), and therefore to lead everyone to Christ.  Christ's payment on the cross is the only way for salvation.  Lusting after women is wrong, but, we are of the flesh, we are weak.  Only through acceptance of our sinful state, and turning to the Lord Jesus Christ's sacrifice on the cross, will a person ever escape the wages of their sin.  Then, with the help of the Holy Spirit, we can hope and try to overcome this sinful nature, whilst in this earthly tabernacle.  Until such time we have our glorified bodies, when our bodies (wherefore just now, it is just our spirit that is born again), when our bodies will be born again also, and the desire of this fleshly body to sin will no longer be with us, we are at a war with our two natures, the born again spirit, and our fleshly bodies of death,
“For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.” Gal. 5:27
