Mormonism is NOT Christian

Mormons and Mormonism are and is a very deceptive religion.  Mormons use Christian terms, try to speak in Christian terminology, and even claim to be Christians.

From speaking to Mormons, especially Mormon missionaries, they all claim (or admit) to different things.  One can see a similar way of action on-line.  Mormons will argue, deny certain parts of claims as not true, or use double-speak or manipulative phrasing in order to somewhat conceal what they truly believe.

This sort of behaviour is not that of the Holy Spirit - the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Truth (John 16:13).  Deceit, false answers, hiding of real intentions, manipulating words, these things are not of the Spirit of Truth, but the spirit of deceit, which is the spirit of the Devil (John 8:44).

However, in the interests of fairness - I do think that it's possible that when Mormons speak, they do not even realise themselves at times they speak in double talk, so, to get to the source of the matter, I'd like to show you direct verifiable quotes by the person who wrote the book of Mormon, and founded the Mormon religion, Joseph Smith, as to the Mormon beliefs.

Mormons believe God is a created being

"We have imagined and supposed that God was God from all eternity. I will refute that idea, and take away the veil, so that you may see. These are incomprehensible ideas to some, but they are simple. It is the first principle of the Gospel to know for a certainty the Character of God, and to know that we may converse with him as one man converses with another, and that he was once a man like us; yea, that God the Father of us all, dwelt on an earth, the same as Jesus Christ himself did, and I will show it from the Bibleā€ (Source)

Joseph Smith is teaching that God was just a person like you and me, and eventually became a God (or rather, god), that God is a created being.  Furthermore, Mormons believe that before God there was another God, and another God etc, and that they were all once people too, and that Mormons too will become a god.

Christians believe that God is eternal, that there in only one God.  It is also blasphemy to a Christian to try to be as equal to God - this is the very sin that Luficer (who became Satan) committed.  Satan tried to gain equality with God (Isaiah 14:4), but yet Mormons are also trying to be as equal to God.  The goal of Mormonism is to be equal to God, to become a God (god) themselves, aka, Satanism.  Mormon teachings are incompatible with Christianity.

The god of Mormon is not the God of Christianity.

Mormons believe in multiple gods, and a goddess

This can be independently sourced.  You can check it here http://jod.mrm.org/1 which is the 'Journal of Discourses' - a 26 volume collection of public semons by Mormon leaders from 1851-1886.  The sermon I am quoting is by Joseph Smith (volume 6 on pages 1-11), who founded Mormonism and wrote the book of Mormon.

I wanted to post this as it's direct verifiable evidence to what Mormonism really teaches and believes.  Don't be deceived, we have to check the facts, and sadly can't rely on a Mormon's testimony (whether they deliberately decieve, or the spirit of deception within them causes them to speak deceitfully without they themselves realising it), the evidence is presented.

Thank you for reading.
